4 Principles of Crisis Leadership

What do you do when crisis strikes? This webinar explores an unambiguous definition of a crisis — one which distinguishes a crisis from a problem. The webinar then challenges you to take on the mantle of leadership when confronting crises in your world and provides a framework for such leadership. The framework is based on four tenets of effective crisis leadership:

  1. The leader must honestly and factually acknowledge the crisis so as to marshal the support of those affected.
  2. The leader must articulate a realistic vision for a future in which those affected will once again thrive.
  3. The leader must build a plan for crisis resolution using the right combination of traditional project management, agile concepts, innovation, and negotiation.
  4. Finally, the leader must show his or her humanity when dealing with those who are hurting, those who are vulnerable, and those who are suffering.
