  • PRINCE2 Practitioner and Foundation Course Description

    Learning Tree’s PRINCE2 certification training course includes 29 hours of Instructor-Led Training (ILT) or Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) presented by a real-world PRINCE2 practitioner. Both the Foundation and Practitioner exams are administered during the class.

  • Requirements

    • To sit for Practitioner exam, passing the PRINCE2 Foundation certificate, or providing proof of holding at least one of the following certifications:
      • PMP (Project Management Professional)
      • CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management)
      • IPMA Level A (Certified Projects Director)
      • IPMA Level B® (Certified Senior Project Manager)
      • IPMA Level C® (Certified Project Manager)
      • IPMA Level D® (Certified Project Management Associate)
  • Course Preparation

    • Prior to the course, we recommend 20 hours of study of the following PRINCE2 materials that will be sent to you three weeks prior to the course:
      • PRINCE2® manual, " Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2®"
      • Study guide to help structure your reading of the manual
    • During the course, two hours of evening study each night is required
  • Certification & Exam Information

    • This course offers you the opportunity to earn the following industry credits and certifications: PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner.
    • The PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner exams are given in class. The PRINCE2 Foundation Exam is given on Day 4, and the PRINCE2 Practitioner Exam is given on Day 5.
    • If you do not pass your Foundation Exam, you will be given an opportunity to retake it and a fee will apply.
    • If you pass the Foundation Exam but fail the Practitioner Exam, you will be able to retake your exam after your course and a fee will apply.

  • How much does the PRINCE2 Foundation exam cost?

    The cost of the exam is normally $229 USD, but the fees for both the Foundation and Practitioner exams are included in the price of course tuition fee.

  • What happens if I fail the Foundation or Practitioner exam?

    If you do not pass your Foundation Exam, you will be given an opportunity to retake it and a fee will apply. If you pass the Foundation Exam but fail the Practitioner Exam, you will be able to retake your exam after your course and a fee will apply.

  • How long does it take to receive results?

    PeopleCert strives to deliver results to Learning Tree within two to four weeks of receiving exams. However, with the growing popularity of PRINCE2®, this time is occasionally longer. Learning Tree will mail your practitioner examination results to you upon receiving it from PeopleCert.

  • How do I keep my PRINCE2 Practitioner certifications up to date?

    You have two choices. You can sit the re-registration exam every 3 years. Or, you can join the AXELOS Professional Development program (visit and complete Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities where you earn a digital badge that shows that your skills and practical knowledge are current. This digital badge also qualifies PRINCE2 Practitioners to work towards the PRINCE2 Agile Certification.

  • What is the relationship between Learning Tree, PEOPLECERT and AXELOS?

    Both Learning Tree and this course have been accredited by PEOPLECERT. As an Accredited Training Organisation (ATO), Learning Tree and its trainers have been approved to deliver this course and invigilate PRINCE2 exams. PEOPLECERT is responsible for providing the examinations, and marking and notifying Learning Tree and the learner of the results.
