Help People and Organisations Successfully Manage Change
Knowing how to navigate through — and thrive during — times of change is critical to the success of any business. Earning APMG-International's Change Management Foundation or Practitioner certifications show that you know how change affects people and organizations, and that you can minimize risk, build communication, and understand how to sustain long-term change for the benefit of the business.
The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certifications are intended to demonstrate your knowledge and expertise in managing change. If you are involved in the design and delivery of change programmes as a business change manager, a project or programme manager, or as an operational manager supporting the implementation of change strategy, these certifications can be valuable assets to your career.
Learning Tree's Organisational Change Management course can help you prepare for and take the APMG Change Management Foundation and Practitioner exams, while learning how people deal with change, the different types of organisational change, and how to work with stakeholders during a change initiative. Gain a comprehensive understanding of the knowledge, terminology, and techniques covered in the Effective Change Manager's Handbook: Essential Guidance to the Change Management Body of Knowledge, and learn practical skills to manage successful change management programmes in your organisation.
Previous change management experience is helpful
15 hours of pre-course reading with the following materials, which will be sent three weeks in advance: "The Effective Change Manager's Handbook" and "The Learning Tree Pre-Course Study Guide"
Two hours of home study after each course day
Passing the Foundation exam is required to take the Practitioner exam
Earning the Change Management Certification:
The APMG Change Management Foundation exam is taken on the fourth day of class
The APMG Change Management Practitioner exam is taken on the fifth and final day of class
Maintain Your Certification:
The Change Management Examination Board has determined that all Change Management Practitioners should be re-registered within 3-5 calendar years of their original certification
Failure to pass the Re-registration Examination after 5 calendar years as a Registered Practitioner will result in withdrawal of your registered status
Re-registration exam includes objective testing, two questions each worth 20 marks (40 marks total), 20 marks (50%) or more required to pass; exam is 90 minutes, open book (official Change Management manual only)
It was very useful for completing the recommended reading before the course. The course content and pace was perfect. I would recommend anyone in a management role to attend this course, allowing them to gain an understanding regarding delivering successful and effective change in their organisation.
