This course provides the advanced skills and experience to manage multiple or complex projects with Microsoft Project Professional. You learn to create cross-project links, develop shared resources, and track and report status across multiple projects.

Who Should Attend

Project managers and anyone responsible for managing multiple projects. Microsoft Project experience--including linking project tasks, creating resources and saving a baseline--at the level of Course 299, "Microsoft Project Comprehensive Introduction", is assumed.

Hands-On Training

Workshops are completed using Microsoft Project Professional 2007 but are also applicable to those using Project 2003. Exercises include:
  • Creating a master project, inserting subprojects and establishing cross-project task dependencies
  • Customising a Global Template to promote consistency
  • Building project and subproject templates and views
  • Populating a shared resource pool
  • Assigning resources across multiple subprojects
  • Baselining and tracking multiple projects
