Outbound Sales Manager

Reports to:
Public Course Sales Director (PCSD)

Basic function:
Accountable for all aspects of the Outbound Sales department, including but not limited to, the leadership, management, development and success of two teams of Outbound Public Course Sales Representatives. Providing motivation and development to the teams, focusing on pre-determined goals whilst maintaining adherence to company policies and procedures.

Specific responsibilities include:
Driving the Business
  • Work with PCSD and Marketing Director to identify new business opportunities
  • Conduct regular territory reviews to identify opportunities and areas for concern
  • Maintain consistency of territory and opportunity across the rep population
  • Create and implement key facility management strategy
  • Conduct regular, thorough analysis of outbound sales performance, using available data effectively
  • Develop and deliver incentives that drive performance and behavior
  • Drive public course revenue through a robust enrolment strategy
  • Manage outbound sales rep commission plan
Developing the People
  • Budgetary responsibility for outbound training budget
  • Source and manage the delivery of appropriate training
  • Provide the senior sales rep with the tools to help meet sales targets and assist in developing the team by mentoring and developing call quality, holding regular meetings, developing best practices, managing recruitment, and managing appropriate team training
Owning the Process
  • In PCSD's absence manage monthly reviews, teleconfs and management meetings
  • Budgetary responsibility for incentives, meetings and travel
  • Use company reports to identify achievement of productivity measures, taking a pro-active approach to ensure all reps meet these targets
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Personal characteristics:
  • Graduate calibre
  • Minimum of 3 years proven track record of management and leadership of a sales team
  • Track record of successful selling; account development and senior level
  • Excellent communication skills

Customer Service Representative

Reports to:
Customer Services and Inbound Team Leader

Basic function:
The key interface between sales and admin, communicating with the customer pre and post-enrolment to ensure all paperwork is received and processed. Liaise with the customer on any query they may have regarding their attendance and their experience of Learning Tree whilst identifying opportunities to enhance the customer experience

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Record all customer information in accordance with Learning Tree protocol while providing excellent customer service
  • Respond to phone and web enquiries
  • Confirm course attendance and monitor wait lists
  • Openly evaluate customer course feed back with customers
  • Be knowledgeable of Learning Tree courses, curriculum and certification programmes
  • Other duities as required

Qualifications and skills:
  • Graduate calibre
  • One year of customer service or sales experience
  • Confident and presentable
  • Experience working in a demanding customer support environment
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Outbound Sales Executive

Reports to:
Outbound Sales Team Leader

Basic function:
In this mainly office-based role, you will be required to spend the majority of your time preparing and making outgoing telephone calls following up internally generated leads. You will be required to gain sufficient knowledge of our products and credibility with the customer to convert at least 10% of these calls into firm orders or course bookings.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Managing and prioritizing leads generated as the basis of a daily action plan
  • Generating and increasing revenues by selling Learning Tree’s values and products to key contacts and individuals within your geographical territory
  • Effective management of your territory to ensure consistency of performance and accuracy of forecasts
  • Pro-actively meet and exceed productivity targets and adhere to Corporate policies and procedures
  • Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure that internal and external customers consistently receive the highest levels of service
  • Manage provision of proposals, tender documents and general information to your contacts to ensure that Learning Tree is established as the No.1 provider of IT training within your client base
  • Occasionally organise and conduct well-qualified meetings with key decision makers in your territory

Qualifications and skills:

  • Proven track record of exceeding customer expectations and sales targets, ideally in a telesales business-business environment (not necessarily IT based)

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Sell Learning Tree Management and Business Skills Training portfolio to key corporate accounts, development accounts and prospect accounts
  • Produce highly customer-focused On-Site proposals and presentations
  • Promote On-Site business within a designated territory both in the UK and internationally
  • Organise and conduct well-qualified meetings with key decision makers as necessary
  • Produce and maintain account plans that set out a strategy for achieving revenue and margin growth
  • Production and presentation of sales forecasts
  • Support and guide the logistical support team by generating weekly action plans and review meetings
  • Contribute to Learning Tree's quest for continuous improvement of its quality and communications

Qualifications and skills:
  • Graduate calibre
  • Experience in sales/account management, ideally within business services
  • UK driving license
  • Confident, highly presentable and a strong communicator
