Programme Description
When professionals are given new leadership responsibility, their success depends on how quickly they learn people-oriented management skills to complement their expert knowledge. From leveraging Emotional Intelligence to motivating and empowering technical and non-technical teams, frontline managers need a variety of management skills in order to maintain a competitive advantage, increase return on investment and boost productivity.

Three Core Courses

Throughout this course, you practise the key skills and behaviours to get the best from technical people. You learn to lead with vision, motivate and empower with passion, facilitate effective communication and delegate with clarity to individuals and teams. You also learn to leverage emotion to optimise communication and performance.
 
Management Skills
(Course 290 - 4 days)
In this course, you acquire the key skills, best practices and behaviours of effective managers—leadership, delegation, motivation, empowerment, communication and vision—and powerful techniques for getting the best from people. You develop a proactive customer-focused approach, enhance your leadership abilities through emotional intelligence and create a management vision for success.
 
This course provides the coaching skills to develop the potential of your employees, peers and others. Through practical workshops and role-playing exercises, you enhance your leadership style with proven coaching techniques. You learn how to structure a framework for mutually effective learning; develop the coaching skills, attitudes and behaviours to foster success at all levels; and recognise and adapt to individual and situational differences.
 
In this course, you learn to apply Emotional Intelligence (EI) to motivate and engage your teams, foster cooperative working relationships and improve your overall effectiveness. You learn to identify the core competencies of EI, harness the social and emotional potential of your team to improve performance, and apply EI to develop your personal and professional potential.

Elective Courses

Each Certification Programme involves the successful completion of four courses - three core courses, plus one elective course, and their associated examinations.

Certifications are FREE. Exams are offered on the last day of each course. Transfer credit is available.
