This course provides the practical knowledge and techniques needed to build distributed and multitier Visual Basic applications. You learn to exploit advanced language features, including interfaces, generics and exceptions; build middle-tier components that access data with ADO.NET and LINQ; and design object-oriented components with inheritance and polymorphism.

 

In this course, you learn how to develop data-centric Visual Basic applications with extended language features. You also learn how to exploit LINQ to integrate diverse data sources, map objects to relational data sources, and manipulate, filter and group data using LINQ queries.

 

This course provides the skills needed to design, program and deploy Windows Forms applications with C# and Visual Basic. You learn to design rich GUIs using advanced .NET controls and employ the .NET Framework for serialisation, file I/O, multithreading and globalization. You also learn how to accelerate data binding with generics and ADO.NET DataSources, and leverage ClickOnce for easy application deployment.
