UNIX^®: A Comprehensive Hands-On Introduction
(Course 428 - 4 days)

In this course, you gain the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to take full advantage of the powerful and flexible UNIX operating system. You learn to locate files by name, owner, type and other characteristics; navigate the UNIX directory hierarchy; manipulate files; and control file access. You also learn to customise the KornShell, and extract and process information with filters and pipes.

(Course 144 - 4 days)

In this course, you gain the knowledge and skills required to install, manage and tune a Linux server to meet your organisation's critical administrative needs. You learn to control and troubleshoot the boot process; create and extend volume management; and deliver file, print and network services for both UNIX and Windows clients.

UNIX^® Administration and Support: Hands-On
(Course 435 - 4 days)

This course provides the knowledge and skills you need to successfully manage the UNIX operating system. You learn to install and configure system and application software, maintain and monitor file systems; add, remove and configure user accounts, and monitor and troubleshoot system performance. You also learn to implement file, printer and network resources and deploy standard and third-party UNIX software.

UNIX^® and Linux^® Tools and Utilities: Hands-On
(Course 396 - 4 days)

This course provides the knowledge and skills you need to effectively use key standard UNIX and Linux tools and utilities. You gain practical experience adapting the UNIX/Linux environment to your particular needs. You learn how to employ standard and programmable text filters to manipulate text and data, process structured data with awk, and build shell scripts to automate routine tasks.
