You learn to exploit advanced language features, including interfaces, generics and exceptions; build middle-tier components that access data with ADO.NET and LINQ; and design object-oriented components with inheritance and polymorphism. C# Programming: Hands-On (Course 419 - 4 days) In this course, you gain the skills to exploit the capabilities of C# and of the .NET Framework to develop programs useful for a broad range of desktop and Web applications. You learn to leverage the namespaces and classes of the .NET Framework and access databases using ADO.NET and Language Integrated Query (LINQ). Programming Scalable Web Applications with .NET and ASP.NET AJAX (Course 506 - 4 days) In this course, you create a scalable multitier Web site that is both secure and reliable using Visual Studio 2008 and .NET. You learn how to use ADO.NET and LINQ, present Web content via AJAX and ASP.NET, call WCF services from ASP.NET AJAX and utilise message queuing for asynchronous distributed programming. You also learn to employ distributed sessions to balance performance and scalability in a Web farm. .NET Best Practices and Design Patterns: Hands-On (Course 511 - 4 days) In this hands-on course, you gain the skills needed to solve real-world software development problems and deliver fast, reliable applications. You learn to deliver bug-free code using test-driven development and Visual Studio, protect applications with code-based security, and simplify complex and repetitive tasks using .NET reflection and custom generic classes.
